About GameRush

GameRush is a feed of browser-based short games you can swipe through one after another. This page explains how the service works, how to use it, and what creators need to know before publishing.

What GameRush is

GameRush collects short games you can finish in a few minutes. They are made for the browser by individual developers and small teams, and every game here was uploaded or imported by its own creator. We never pull games in from other sites without the creator doing it themselves.

All you need is a reasonably recent browser on a phone or a computer. There is no app to install and no account to create. Each game loads its own build data, so if you are watching your data usage, Wi-Fi is the better choice.

How to play

Open the feed and one game fills the screen; it becomes playable as soon as it finishes loading. This is play mode, where every tap and swipe goes straight to the game.

When you want to move on, press and hold the bar at the bottom of the screen. That switches you to browse mode and pauses the game you were playing. In browse mode, swipe left or right to move between games, and tap the one you want to play to go back to play mode.

The two modes exist so that game controls and feed swipes never fight each other. The long press is picked up by the bar outside the game, so it never gets in the way while you are playing.

  • Like: save the games you enjoy (requires signing in).
  • Comment: share your thoughts, with a screenshot of the moment you paused attached.
  • Details: in browse mode, swipe up to see the game's description, its creator, and its streaming policy.
  • Share: copy the game's own URL to send someone a link that opens on that game.

About accounts

You do not need to sign in just to play. Likes, comments, follows, and your play history are tied to a signed-in account.

You can register with a sign-in link sent to your email address, or with a Google account. There is no password to set.

  • Library: revisit the games you liked, your play history, your own comments, and the creators you follow.
  • Timeline: comments from other players, newest first, with a jump straight to the game.
  • Search: find games by title and creators by name.
  • Notifications: likes, comments, replies, and follows on your games and comments.

For creators

Publishing happens in Studio. You can upload a WebGL / HTML5 build made with Unity, Godot, or another engine (the Build folder or a zip).

Anyone with an account can post. Before a game goes public (or unlisted) it passes a review by the GameRush team, and until it is approved only you can play it. Approval is tied to the build we reviewed, so replacing the build sends it through review again.

Visibility can be set to public, unlisted (only people with the URL can open it), or private. Listing is non-exclusive and does not restrict publishing elsewhere, and you can unlist or delete your work at any time.

Our listing rules — publishing only through the creator's own action, showing the original source, and carrying over streaming policies — are documented in the Game Listing Policy.

Frequently asked questions

Does it cost anything?
No. Playing is free, and so is publishing your game.
Do I need to install an app?
No. It runs in the browser as it is. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app next time.
Do I have to sign in to play?
No. Signing in is only needed for likes, comments, follows, and saving your play history.
What if a game will not load or runs slowly?
Try again on a better connection with your browser updated to the latest version. If that does not help, contact us at haruku.umemura@plumvery.dev.
How do I publish my own game?
Sign in and go to Studio, then upload a build. Your game goes through a review before it is published.
Can I stream or record the games listed here?
Each game shows the streaming policy its creator set, in the game's details. Please follow what that game shows. The Streaming Policy page explains the reasoning.
How do I report a game or comment?
Report a game from the menu in browse mode, and a comment from the menu on that comment. For urgent matters such as rights infringement, contact us at haruku.umemura@plumvery.dev.
